Stampings are composed of a large diversity of parts that are formed or blanked from strip material. These components are manufactured from flat stock spring steel.
They perform similar functions as conventional wire springs. They store Potential Energy and release Kinetic Energy. Like conventional springs, they act while being deflected and then pushing back exerting a force.
There are many uses for stampings such as acting as a support for components of an assembly, acting as electrical connectors, or being used as hinges, braces, fasteners and an endless number of other applications.
Stampings are always custom designed and made with special tooling.
